Qualifications for Clinical Staff Positions

Registered Nurse

• Maintains unrestricted, current RN license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Nurse Examiners
• Has one year of experience as a staff RN
• Possesses reliable transportation, current driver's license and liability insurance
• Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide competent and independent quality care to patients of all ages

Licensed Practical Nurse

• Maintains unrestricted, current LPN license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners
• Has one year experience as an LPN prior to employment in home health
• Possesses reliable transportation, current driver's license and liability insurance
• Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide competent and independent quality care to patients of all ages

Certified Nursing Assistants

• Possesses nursing assistant certification
• Passes nurse aide competency test with minimum score of 80%
• Home health, nursing home, or hospital experience preferred but not required
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide competent and independent quality care to patients of all ages
